Database Backups & Restore
AODE backs up each project database every night at 03:30 server time. It keeps the newest 14 backups on the server. If you configure Cloudflare R2 in Settings, each backup is also copied there and the newest 30 are kept. This applies to PostgreSQL and MySQL databases that AODE provisioned.
Back Up Now or Download
The project's Database card lists every backup with its time and where it is stored (server, R2, or both). Click Back up now for an extra backup, or use the download button on any row to save the file.
Restore
- Click the restore button on the backup you want
- Type the confirmation text shown in the dialog
- AODE takes a safety backup of the current state first, then replaces the database contents with the chosen backup
A PostgreSQL restore runs in one transaction, so a failure changes nothing. A MySQL restore empties the database before importing.
